Booking terms and conditions

Who offers the booking

ALMA Surf Lodge, operated by The Alma Initiative, Avenida Las Redes 2, Punta de Mita, Bahia de Banderas, Nayarit, C.P. 63734, Mexico. By confirming your booking you accept these terms.

Rates and taxes

All prices are shown with taxes included (VAT and lodging tax), in the currency indicated. The total you see when booking is the total you pay. If the price changes while you book, we show it to you before charging. Equivalents in other currencies are for reference only: you are charged in the hotel's currency.

Arrival and departure

Check-in from 3:00 pm and check-out by 11:00 am, unless your confirmation says otherwise. The hotel stores your luggage at no cost on your arrival or departure day.

Cancellations and changes

The policy depends on your arrival date and the rate you chose. We show it before you pay and you receive it in your confirmation.

• Arrivals from October 2, 2026 to December 18, 2026 (Política 2026-10-02 → 2026-12-18): Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. With less notice or if you do not show up: a penalty of 100 % of the total.
• Arrivals from December 19, 2026 to January 3, 2027 (Política 2026-12-19 → 2027-01-03): Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. With less notice or if you do not show up: a penalty of 100 % of the total.
• Arrivals from January 4, 2027 to December 18, 2027 (Política 2027-01-04 → 2027-12-18): Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. With less notice or if you do not show up: a penalty of 100 % of the total.
• Arrivals from December 19, 2027 to January 3, 2028 (Política 2027-12-19 → 2028-01-03): Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. With less notice or if you do not show up: a penalty of 100 % of the total.

Non-refundable rates do not allow cancellation or changes free of charge. If you do not show up and did not cancel in time, the penalty of your rate applies.

Payments

We accept the payment methods shown when you book. Your card details are processed by the payment provider, not the hotel.

What you pay when booking depends on your arrival date:

• Arrivals from October 2, 2026 to December 18, 2026: 50 % of the total is charged when you book and the balance is paid online with a payment link we email you, no later than 14 days before your arrival.
• Arrivals from December 19, 2026 to January 3, 2027: the full amount is charged when you book.
• Arrivals from January 4, 2027 to December 18, 2027: 50 % of the total is charged when you book and the balance is paid online with a payment link we email you, no later than 14 days before your arrival.
• Arrivals from December 19, 2027 to January 3, 2028: the full amount is charged when you book.

Non-refundable rates are charged in full when you book. If you book within the free cancellation period of your season, the full amount is charged when you book and the booking cannot be cancelled or changed free of charge; the booking engine tells you before you pay. When a balance remains, the list above says how and when it is paid; your confirmation and My booking show how much you paid and how much is left. Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email.

Guests

ALMA Surf Lodge is an adults-only hotel: all guests must be 18 or older. Each room is for a maximum of 2 people.

Pets

Cats and dogs are welcome, one pet per room at most and only in the Garden Queen, Private Garden Queen and Private Garden King; if you are traveling with a pet, please tell us in the special requests when you book. A pet charge of MXN 800 plus VAT per stay applies and is collected by the hotel at check-in; service animals are exempt. Pets cannot be left alone in the room (the room is not cleaned while a pet is inside) and the guest is responsible for any damage the pet causes. In case of nighttime disturbances a fine of up to MXN 6,000 may apply and the hotel may ask the guest and the pet to leave the property.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on the hotel premises.

Special requests

You can write them when you book. They are subject to availability and the hotel does not guarantee them unless it confirms them to you in writing.

Commercial communications and measurement

We only send you offers and news by email if you accept when booking, and you can unsubscribe at any time. The booking engine and the hotel's website may use analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console and, where applicable, Meta) to measure their use and campaigns; what data they collect and how to turn them off is explained in the privacy notice.

We process your data in line with our privacy notice, published on this same site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer before the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), the courts of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, will have jurisdiction.
